Kiss Me Again by Barbara Wilson

Summary

Many married women genuinely want to feel more desire toward their husbands. But while sex before marriage was hard to resist, now resisting seems like all they do. In her new book, Barbara Wilson shows how couples can suffer for years from the “invisible bonds” of previous relationships without even knowing it. Hidden emotions of distrust, shame, and resentment can sabotage even the most loving marriage.

In Kiss Me Again, Wilson:

· Shares her own story of healing and renewed desire

· Helps women forgive themselves and their husbands for past choices

· Shows readers how to break free from “invisible bonds”

· Explains God’s plan for helping a husband and wife to re-bond

· Includes conversation helps for both wives and their husbands

· Helps couples reignite the passion that they thought was lost

With assessment tools, write-in exercises, and gentle guidance, Kiss Me Again offers a biblical plan for rekindling the closeness and passion women long for in marriage. Because no past is beyond the reach of God’s healing touch

My Review:
Is it the desire of your heart to enjoy lovemaking rather than endure it? Intimacy can be effected by many
outside pressures. Parenting can play a big role in fluctuating desire and enjoyment of sex, as well as, hormones, pregnancy and unmet emotional needs; as can rape, sexual abuse, along with unfaithfulness and addictions-pornography being a big factor. Barbara Wilson's book will help you to see that casual sex before marriage can ruin the kind of intimacy God meant for romantic sex to have in marriage. She explains how we gain a false sense of intimacy.

The good news is with God's help there is healing from your past. Not only can He heal anything, but He wants to give healing and will if you you'll allow Him to. Surrendering to Him is the hardest part of the process. God is the one who breaks the sexual bonds of the past and heals us so we can rebond with our spouse. Reading this book could be the thing to lead you toward healing, wholeness and freedom.

There is so much good that Barbara has to offer in this book. Barbara will help you understand how past sex is affecting your present sex life with your marriage spouse. She'll help you delight in a deeper sexual relationship with your spouse. This book is directed to the female, however, the male can benefit from it as well. In reading it he'll gain insight into what is actually going on in the female's thought process.
The brain is the most important sex organ there is. Sex from the past can and will haunt you here in the present with negative impact. The worst lie about sex anyone can believe is: "Sex before marriage won't ruin sex in marriage." Sex was designed to unite the souls and bodies of husband and wife. Outside of God's plan it affects our-soul and spirit.

In first part of her book Barbara will help you understand how sex from the past is affecting you today. Then in the second part she goes into steps for the healing process. We must heal the past, address the present, replace the lies and rebond with our spouse. In this book you'll find exercises, tools and questions to help lead you toward healing. There is also a 10 week book study guide to help with deeper healing.
