Teaser Tuesday ~ The Door to Far-Myst

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along, so I thought I would play for un! Just do the following:

• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page

He was afraid to look over his shoulder, but the sound of the footsteps was growing louder.  Closer.  That now-familiar stink of dead mouse tickled his nose.  His legs felt like gooey noodles.  Good noodles with hoopaleaf sauce like his mother would make him.  He wished he were back home in his boring kitchen eating that sloppy, tasteless mass of dough and stick-flavored gravy.
